SIMWESTMED project is divided into three components:

  • C1. Supporting Implementation of MSP
  • C2. Management and coordination
  • C3. Communication and dissemination

If C2 and C3 are dedicated to operational and organisational purposes, C1 is the technical component wherein the project main outputs are being developped to address the objectives of the project..

C1.2.1 Establish a mechanism for a permanent and operational networking (Regional MSP Platform) among Member States in the area A regional Platform: A common information tool will be set up, and used to collect and display information about MSP related activities taking place in the area covered by the project.
C1.2.2 Analysis of the Maritime Spatial Planning Process Report on the state of the art of MSP in the Western Mediterranean area with proposals towards a common approach and any conclusions drawn.
C1.3 Support for Member States’ implementation of Maritime Spatial Planning
C1.3.1 Develop and propose a conceptual methodology for transboundary MSP in the Western Mediterranean, with operational details on selected aspects
